Protecting our members and staff during COVID-19

All of our branch lobbies are now open!
We are pleased to announce we have reopened all of our lobbies as of July 8, 2020. We are still following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and government officials’ executive orders regarding COVID-19.
Social distancing measures will be in place to help ensure our members and employees health and safety. Face coverings will be required to enter the branch lobbies. Please bring your mask with you. We will be limiting the total number of members allowed in each branch.

Plexiglass shields have been installed at teller stations where we will be serving members face-to-face.
We continue our stringent cleaning and sanitation practices to support the health and well-being of both our members and employees.
Make an Appointment
It will be encouraged that we keep transactions efficient and concise while working with members who enter our offices so that we may continue to allow people waiting for entry access in a timely manner.
Members may still contact our offices for appointments if they cannot wait for access.
We will still encourage members to utilize all of our great electronic services and seek out lobby access when needed.
Required Face Coverings
All employees and members are required to wear face coverings in accordance with CDC and local authorities’ recommended guidance for stopping the spread of COVID-19. Please note:
If you prefer not to wear a face covering, we will happily serve you at any drive-up location, by phone appointment, or through our Mobile or Internet Banking services.
Based on CDC guidance, a suitable face covering should be an item of cloth that fits snugly against the sides of the face and is secured with ties or ear loops.
This requirement does not apply to very young children who are unable to maintain a face covering.
You may be asked to remove/lower your face covering for the purpose of identification when conducting some transactions.
Southwest Federal Credit Union offers many secure, convenient ways to access your accounts without visiting a branch. We encourage you to take advantage of our Mobile and Internet Banking services, where you have 24/7 access to transfer money, pay bills, and deposit checks using Mobile Deposit. ATMs are also available anytime.
We appreciate your patience at this time as we strive to serve you, and work to protect you and our employees.
Scams during this time
While everyone is focusing on social distancing and the spread of the coronavirus, scammers are taking advantage of the situation to steal personal and financial information. The FBI is reporting an uptick in the number of fraud schemes and emails related to the COVID-19 pandemic. If you feel you may be scammed or need guidance please contact our offices at 505-243-6751
We encourage you to follow the CDC’s recommendations for preventing the spread of infectious viruses including keeping up with vaccinations, washing your hands often, staying hydrated, and helping prevent the spread of illness. We also recommend washing your hands or using hand sanitizer before and after using an ATM or handling currency and coin.
We will continue to follow the guidance recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the New Mexico Department of Health (DOH). We will continue to keep you updated on this page and our Facebook Page.
