Money Orders

Money orders are acceptable where personal checks may not be.  They are available in amounts up to $1,000 and provide users with a receipt for a paid bill or proof of purchase.  Money orders are available to Southwest FCU members or non-members for $2.00 each. Non-member money orders are only available for conversion of a Southwest Federal Credit Union check to a money order.

Cashiers Checks

Cashiers Checks are available in any amount and are made out to a specific recipient.  The fee for each cashiers check is:

• Free, no limit to members with Prestige checking accounts
• $5 each to members with Preferred checking accounts
• $10 each to non-members for conversion of a Southwest Federal check to a cashiers check

Money orders and cashiers checks are available from any Member Services Representative.
